We use cookies to make our site easier and more intuitive. The data collected through cookies help us enhance your browsing experience and make it more efficient in the future.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files sent by the site to your terminal (usually to your browser), where they are stored to be retransmitted to the site on your next visit. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from your hard drive, nor can it transmit viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to your web browser. Some cookie functions can be performed by other technologies. In this document, the term ‘cookie’ refers to both cookies and similar technologies.
Types of Cookies
Cookies can be first-party or third-party. “First-party” cookies refer to those set by the site’s domain, while “third-party” cookies relate to external domains.
Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external entity, known as a “third party,” which is not managed by the site. These entities may also install first-party cookies by saving their cookies on the site’s domain.
Another type of cookie is “Flash Cookies” (Local Shared Objects), used within Adobe Flash Player to deliver certain content, such as video clips or animations, by remembering settings and preferences. Flash cookies are stored on the device but managed through a different interface than that provided by the browser.
Nature of Cookies
Regarding the nature of cookies, there are different types:
Technical Cookies
Technical cookies are used solely for the purpose of “transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or as strictly necessary for the service provider of the information society explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service” (see Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the site’s owner or manager. They can be divided into:
• Navigation or Session Cookies: These ensure normal navigation and use of the site (e.g., allowing purchases or logging in to restricted areas). They are essential for the site to function properly.
• Analytics Cookies: These are similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, about the number of users and how they visit the site to improve site performance.
• Functionality Cookies: These allow navigation based on selected criteria (e.g., language, selected products) to enhance the service provided. Consent from users is not required for these cookies (more information in the Cookie Management section below).
Profiling Cookies
Profiling cookies are used to create user profiles and to send advertising messages aligned with the user’s preferences expressed during browsing.
Consent is required for the use of profiling cookies. According to the regulation (more information in the Cookie Management section below), users can authorize or deny consent for the installation of cookies through the options provided in the “Cookie Management” section.
For third-party cookies, the site does not have direct control over individual cookies and cannot control them (cannot install or delete them directly). However, you can manage these cookies through your browser settings (see instructions below), or through the sites listed in the “Cookie Management” section.
Users are therefore invited to check the third-party site mentioned in the table below.

Duration of Cookies
Cookies have a duration defined by their expiration date (or by a specific action, such as closing the browser) set at the time of installation. Cookies can be:
• Temporary or Session Cookies: Used to store temporary information, allowing actions to be linked during a specific session and are removed from the computer upon closing the browser.
• Persistent Cookies: Used to store information, such as a name and password, to avoid re-entering them each time you visit a site. These remain on the computer even after closing the browser.
Cookie Management
In compliance with the Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003, hereinafter “Code”) and, in particular, Articles 13, paragraph 3, and 122, paragraph 1, and referring to the simplified methods for information and consent for the use of cookies – May 8, 2014 (Published in the Official Gazette No. 126 of June 3, 2014):
If consent has already been given but you wish to change cookie permissions, you need to delete them through your browser, as previously installed cookies will not be removed otherwise. Note that you cannot control third-party cookies in any way, so if you have previously given consent, you must delete cookies through the browser (dedicated section) or opt out directly with third parties or via their site.
